Day 6 Korea Cross Country Cycle Route
Rest day exploring Jeoju on foot
Today was a day off the bikes, so we had a lazy morning before heading out for a wander.
Just along from our hotel we passed rows of beautiful flowers. Of course, they came with a designated ‘photo-op spot’! Seems to be a thing in Korea.
Next up was Yeongwollu Pavilion and the surrounding park and cliff lines. Great river views, along with some wall art and of course more sculptures.
After a quick stop for lunch from a French patisserie, we passed some market stalls selling creative pots shaped like shoes, shorts and more. I was tempted to buy, but Alex refuses to carry ceramic pots on his bike for me 😆.
Silleuksa Temple and its grounds, sitting on the river bank, was a peaceful place to wander around. Beautiful architecture, and artwork adorning the walls externally and internally.
A gorgeous sunset over the water rounded off our day.
