Last weekend of the school holidays and another camping trip.  This time to Springbrook National Park - Settlement Campground - with Alex, myself, Tash and her friend Rochelle.

Us three girls went up Friday arvo and set up and had a nice warm dinner. Alex drove up after work arriving just as we were about to go to bed - only 8pm - but hey it's cold up there in the middle of winter!!

Saturday saw us tackle the 17km Warrie Circuit, with the lower half of the Twin Falls circuit.  Alex, of course, had to run it.  He took off in an anticlockwise direction with me following - walking. He was running the full circuit then doubling back to walk with me. The girls decided to be independent and walked clockwise. I crossed paths with Tash and Rochelle half way through the walk and not long after Alex had come back to walk with me, having run the full circuit.

This is a fabulous walk with many creek crossings and heaps of beautiful waterfalls. Being able to walk behind several falls adds to the special experience of this circuit.

Saturday evening was cold yet again and saw us in bed this time even earlier - 7pm!!

After pancakes on Sunday morning, and packing up camp we met friends (Jo, Paul, April, Darren, Lachlan & Ham) at 10am to do the Purling Brook Falls circuit with the Warringa Pool side track. This is also another beautiful walk with great views down the valley to the Gold Coast, waterfalls, rock pools and even a suspension bridge to cross.

We lunched early sitting on sunny rocks in the creek above the Warringa Rock pool. A very pretty spot.

It was then an uphill walk to the cars, pausing at a lookout to see just how far below we had been.

After our walk it was only a short drive to the Fudge Shop, for coffees & fudge of course, completing another awesome weekend.

Thanks everyone for joining us.

Kerrie & Alex
