After recent rains and a few days of sunshine, we decided it was perfect timing to explore Byron Gorge. We started our walk from The Gantry in the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. Initially, we followed part of the Somerset Trail and fire trails before dropping into the creek. From here we walked in and out of the creek (sometimes pushing through dense undergrowth). We came across open rocky slabs and many small waterfalls, which were flowing nicely, and there were numerous opportunities for swimming. The final exit out of the creek (via a side creek) was steep before coming out onto another fire trail for the walk back to The Gantry.

The following photos paint a good picture of our day.
